business, and, indeed, as we have said,

The above extraordinary story Is
told upon tlie authority of gentleman
who is a stranger to the editor of the
( 'liritnicle. He refused to disclose his
name, ami submitted these curious
revelations on the condition that no
inquiries into Ids antecedents should
be Instituted by us. We simply give
the startling recital, leaving our read
er to form their own estimate of its
credibility.
