The best farm in Riigland is kept by
a woman, and took the first pri.e, re
cently offered bv the Hoval Agricult
ural Society. It is a farm of four

proved by skillful treatment. Only
four horses were kciit ; yet. such lia
been the admirable system of manage
ment, that tliey were" sufficient for the
cultivation necessary for seventy acres

nips, besides some oats ami beans.

Some Michigan lioys. feeling the
neetl of some wholesome recreation,
stuffed a suit of clothes with straw and
buried it: killed a couple of chickens,

struggle. The horrified citizens soon
