informed, they have traveling stones

They are almost perfect! v round, the
majority of them as large as a walnut.

in a nest. A single stone, removed to

Robbed. On Friday of last week
the residence of Mr. George Simpson,
about four miles south of this city,
was entered during the absence of the
family, and about fifty dollars worth
of wearing apparel stolen said appa
rel consisting of two frock coats and
a pair of pants. Entrance was ob
tained by raising a window. Like the
majority of our citizens, Mr. Simpson
has been hi the habit of leaving the
doors and windows of his residence
unfastened, and the thief or thieves:
had no trouble in' obtaining admit
tance. Our farmers will hereafter
have to look more carefully to the
locking of doors and nailing of win-,
dows, to keep out these gentry
