On Saturday last, Mrs. Beach, wife of IX Beach, Esq.. of the firm of Beach & Monteith, millers, slipped and fell upon the sidewaU a short distance from her residence, breaking her right hip. Doctors Tate and Rice were immediately called in and done what they could to alleviate the terrible suffering of their patient. At present Mrs. Beach is resting comparatively easy, and hopes of an early recovery are entertained. Funeral Obsequies. The funeral services previous to the burial of Mrs. Delaxon Smith, who died on the 1st inst., transpired at the M..E. Church on Tues day afternoon. A deeply affecting ser mon was preached by the Rev. Mr. Emory, and the large audience that filled the church was visibly impressed by it. Almost the cntiro audience followed in A Success. Parrish's Hall wag filled and packed to its utmost capacity on last Saturday evening, to see Dore's Pano rama of Paradise lost, and notwithstand ing the precaution was takeu to put up a number of extra scats, they wereall filled and numbers had to stand up. We do not remember of having ever seeu as large an audience in Albany on any occasion of the kind before, and aro happy in be ing able to state that the exhibition was in all respects a success, and all who at tended and of whom we have heard speak of it were well pleased, and in fact high ly delighted. The paintings were all shown with good effect, and especially the scenes representing the ill fated ship, were exceedingly brilliant and beautiful, and we commend the exhibition to tho patronage of the publicj feeling confident that all who attend will be well satisfied and receive the full wortli of the money expended.
