Public No. 19a. ; An ACT to disapprove of certain acta of the legislative asaeinby of Idaho Territory and for other purpose. De it enacted by the Senate and House of Ren-esenlative of the United State of Amer ica in Congress assembled. That so much of the revenue laws passed by the legislative assembly ol the Territory of Idaho, January thirteen, anno Domini eight een hundred and iixty-nine, as provides for a special license, or tax, to be collected of or l aid by Chinamen, or persons of the Mongo lian race, who may be engaged in mining, or hold mining claims in said Territory, and so much of all other laws of said Territory as discriminate between persons of said race and other persons, in regard to taxation, are here by disapproved of and annulled. 8ko 2. And be tt further enacted. That tic act passed by the legislative assembly of said Terriiory on the fifteenth "day of January - anno Domini eighteen hundred and sixty-nine entitled "An act creating the office of district attorney for each county in this Territory, and .cfiuing their duties and providing for their compensation," be, and the same is hereby disipp:oved and annulled. Skc. 3. And be tt further enacted. That I aits and parts or ads heretofore passed by ttie iegblativeasscinbljr of said Territory that provide for the payment of salaries or extra compensation out uf the territorial treasury to Oncers holding commissions by federal ap pointment in said Territory, or which provide any compensation to the members of the leCis lUive assembly, or tue clerks, or attacUces luereot other tuan that paid by the United States, are hereby disapproved of and annul led; and the legislative assembly is hereby prohibited from making any appropriation trotn the treasury of said Territory to any ach officers or persons, under any pretence of adding to or increasing their compensation as bxed by the United States.
