vine services. Our advice, to peoile
whose low instincts will not allow of their
conducting themselves in a decent and
respectable manner while attending places
of worship, is to stay at home, and never
obtrude their presence on respectable)
people. It is not a matk of independ
ence, good seuse, or good breediog, to at
tend any place of worship for the purpose
cf mocking its ceremonies, and behaving
io a manner that would disgrace a Dig
ger Indian. We hope never to hear of
such conduct again, in Linn . county at
least.
Last Appointment. Next Sabbath,
t not only the last day of July, but it i
the last sermon day of Conference year,
and on that day, inoruig and evening.
Rev. II. C. Jenkens will preach hie fare
well sermons. Mr. Jenkins has labored
faithfully in the Methodist ministry in
this city during the past two yeare,'and
by his straightforward, honest aod up
right course, has been an ornament to
the church. He is a good man and de
serves well of his people.
