ON POTASH FED PASTURE”
■pASTURE land can be made the moat profit-
■t able land on the dairy farm. Test plots in
1937 proved that potash in the fertilizer in-
creases the yield of pasturage 5,000 lbs. green
weight per acre. In addition, potash improves
the sod by encouraging the desirable grasses
and clovers, thereby increasing the feed value
and palatability. Apply to your pasture now a
mixed fertilizer containing at least 10% potash.
This will make a top-dressing of nitrogen
fertilizer later in the year more effective.
High-potash fertilizer will also be a desirable
supplement to any manure treatment that the
pasture has previously received. For further
information, consult your fertilizer dealer or 1
write us at P.O. Box 44, Puyallup, Washington.
