ington county fair. This is the fourth
y e a r that the large silv er and gold
C alf M anna trop h y w ill be a w a rd ­
ed by the C arnation Milk com pany
to the highest scoring dairy club
particip atin g in th e activ ities of the
county fair T he cup was won in
1934 and 1935 bv the Rock Creek
dairy club. F. It. Jossy. leader In
1936 the T ualatin dairy club. C lay ­
ton Nyberg. leader, w as th e w inner
The basis for scoring th e clubs
are: First, percentage of club e x ­
hibiting: second, exhibit placing.--,
th ird , show m anship placings: fourth,
ju d g in g contest placings. fifth, d em ­
onstration team placings: s i x t h ,
herdsm anship. and seventh, fitting
The C alf M anna trophy has aro u s­
ed a lot of keen, com petitive in te r­
est am ong the dairy clubs of the
county and has played an im portant
part in the building up of a strong
