m any places th ro u g h o u t O regon, in­

in fra te rn a l and official life, and the
sp lendid rem ark s in the services. All
stressed his sincere friendliness and
his devotion to the cause of p e rp e tu a t­
ing the early history of the O regon
country. Dr. H enry Young tru th fu lly

This O regon h istorian has left a
