A Logical Time
T he s ta te ’s activities will be so crow ded
even w ith the new sta te capitol building
th a t m ore land and m ore buildings w ill
be needed im m ediately. It seem s a sad
m istake th a t action to pu rch ase th e W il

to the no rth of th e p resent cap ito l w as not
u n d e rta k en at th e special legislative ses

It w ould seem logical an d businesslike
to proceed w ith pu rch ase now as su g

values will increase by reason of m ore
expensive construction etc., in th e vicinity
of th e capitol.
T he sta te is now faced w ith th e im

th e s ta te lib rary , w hich furnishes one of
th e m ost constructive and w orthw hile

of th e lib ra ry are in every nook a n d cor

The a n n u al re p o rt of th e s ta te lib ra ria n

p u rch ases w ere a 5-cent cigar, an ice

chew ing gum and a th ird of a p a c k ag e of

T he needs of th e sta te m ust even tu ally

w ould be th e business-like tim e to p ro
ceed before costs increase and w hile it
is possible to secure g ran ts from th e fe d
eral governm ent to cover a larg e sh a re of
th e cost.
One visit to th e sta te lib ra ry , now
housed in one c o rn e r of th e suprem e c o u rt

of th e lib ra ria n ’s re p o rt will c le a rly prove
