Royal Soda Works
"Where?" demanded the crew.
"In the building across the
street!" somebody cried into the
telephone transmitter.
The fire siren shrieked and
wailed. The trucks thundered
nut of the city hall. Firemen ran.
The croud gathered. The fire
was out.
"Red" Auld. truckman for the
Royal Soda Works, had ex tin ­
guished the biaxe on the roof
