perity of Oregon’s fast growing indus­
try. Every emptied can represents a va­
cancy on some grocer's shelf, a poten­
tial market for a fu ll can of Oregon fruits or vege­
tables— a few cents more toward the $3,100,000
annual payroll in this state for processing, canning
and preserving fruits and vegetables.
Since 1913, when the canning industry of Oregon ’
formed its fir>t trade association, great stride«have
