Property Needs Relief
State NR A Needed
The legislature should not hesitate
in the enactm ent of a state NRA measure.
President Roosevelt has asked congress to
extend the recovery act. for another two
years with some am endm ents and state
acts will tend to strengthen code enforce­
ment.
Most people approve of the principles
of the NRA ami the codes of decent prac­
tices and a state act would, in our opinion,
help a great deal in keeping in line the
"ehiseler,” who by his acts would carry
everyone down to his lowly level, as for
exam ple the practices that were so in­
jurious in the dairy business until the
milk control board took charge.
As President Roosevelt has said “ a
great code of law, of order a n d - of decent
business cannot be created in a day or a
vear." It takes a long time to make such
