Portland is putting on its Red Cross
roll-call m em bership drive, more than a
month before the dates set nationally for
the drive, November 11 to 29, and all
W ashington county people going into the
city are asked to buy a m embership. Is it
fair? We are given a quota to raise in
this county and all loyal citizens should
help raise it, as a large percentage is re
turned here for disaster and relief. Red
Cross w orkers are asking county resi
dents to buy their memberships in W ash
