Finnigan, and niece, Mrs. Otto Ornduff, Thurs- day. John Haynes accompanied his nephew, Ben Haynes, of Scholls and Mr. Fluke of Kinton are on a trip to Southern Oregon. They left Mon day evening and expect to be gone about two week*. They will visit Ben Haynes at Bandon and John Adams near Gold Beach. Pack up a nice lunch in a basket or box and include a novelty of some kind. The purchaser will buy the novelty with the lunch thrown in free, A program is being prepared by the lecturer of the grange. The pro ceeds will be added to the treasury. Kinton church was represented at the quarterly conference of the Evangelical churches of this district, held with the church at West Port land last Friday evening, by the fol lowing persons: Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Cox, S. H. Pomeroy, Charles Watkins and Hick Essie. Mr. Tweedy and son are cutting some cordwood on the Mrs. Lily Bierly ranch. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Snider and son. Lester, spent Sunday as guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Larkin of Scholls. A goodly number of local grang- ers are planning to attend the St'S- sion of Pomona grange to be held with Tigard grange next Wednesday in an all-day session. There will be a literary program at the Buck Heaven school house at 8 p. m. Saturday. Ray Ego has purchased the farm vacated by A. G. Morgan and fam ily, who recently moved to the Springbrook neighborhood. Bob Bryan of Portland is spend ing the winter at the home of his aunt, Mrs. J. P. Jones. • Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Finnigan and their guests, Mr. and Mr-. Otto Orn duff, visited Mrs. Rhoda Cadey at Orchard, Wash., Wednesday of the past week. Mrs. J. A. York of Reedville spent two days last week with her father, D. M. McInnis, who has been ill, but is recovering. A band of wild geese was heard flying north Saturday. Old timers here say it is the earliest they’have ever heard of their migrating. Guests at the D. M. McInnis home Sunday included Mr. and Mrs. D. W. McInnis of Reedville, Mr. and Mrs. D. P.
