THE HILLSBORO ARGUS
have the heaviest part of the work
done now, and have moved the big
shovel out und shipped it back to
Portland. They will do the balance
of the grading with men and teams,
and expect to be ready for track
laying in a short time. The new
foundation is in under the mill now
and they are setting unother boiler,
which will give them more power,
so they can run a resaw and planer,
ami thereby make and »hip a finish
ed product instead of shipping in
the rough as the old company did.
When thia mill is complete ami
ready to run it will be a better null
than it ever was before.
Clarence Monroe is giving the
Grange hull a now coat of paint
that is adding to the appearance of
the town.
Roland Scofield is over on the
Salmonberry river fishing and pick
Ing wild blackberries.
Harry Coleman of St. Helens is
located at the Elwood mill. He will
be the locomotive engineer. Harry
has fullowed this business for many
years.
