The funeral took place Tues day afternoon nt 2:30 from the family home, Rev. II. A. Deck, of the Conjiregntionnl Church, of ficiating. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery. The pall bear ers were A. C. Smite, T. S. Weatherred, Willis Ireland, G. A. Patterson, O. A. Wehrting nnd O. V. Pavne. Undertaker Geo. J. OBITUARY Henry Kveritt, who died at the home of his niece. Mrs. John Rrown, July 27, 1920, was born in Kent Co., Ontario, Dec. 10, 1833, and at death was aged 86 years, 7 months and 17 days. Death came as he had often ex pressed a desire it should at the end of a day of work he folded his arms and slept. He married early in life. Of his children the following survive Mrs. Ella Jenks, Michigan; W. A. F.veritt, Portland s Fred E. Ev eritt. of Stanfield, Ore., and Ma bel F.., of Salem. Mr. Evcritt first came to the coast In the days of the Califor nia gold rush and coming to Ore gon from California, returned o Canada. From there he went to Michigan, thence to the Dakotas, and later to Oregon, where he spent his declining years. Early in life he was a sawyer, and for a number of years preached the gospel. Later in life he lived on a farm. He was noted for his kindness of disposition. The funeral took place Thurs day last at Banks, Rev. F. S. Ford conducting tile service. H." W.
