eran in llillsborvi, of which ramp
member are to be found in all
parts of Washington County.
The object of this benefit is to
replenish the fund of this organ
isation. hich is essentially a pa
triotic bodr. At thi rxnrfit
which i to be tiven in Hillsboro,
at the Liberty Theatre, besides a
pood picture, there w ill appear
the following artist:
Musical Numbers
Alice May Phelp. soprano;
Harold V. Moore, baritone, and
Marie A. Soule, accompanist, of
Portland.
The Larson Family
The M. C Larson family, of
Cedar Mill, will give a number of
orchestra selections. This is a
tinione feature of the program
and many of Washington County
have never heard this family play.
It is well worth your while. Ages
i2 to 6 years.
Oswald Olson, who has sang
for Washington County audiences
ln-fore, but has not been heard
for some time, has consented to
assist in the program.
Russell Morran. well known in
Washington County as a pleasing
baritone sinsrer, will render se
lections.
The price of admission will be
as cents tor adults and t7 cents
for children. Tickets will h nn
sale at the Wigwam and Den of
Sweets in Hillshoro, and at the
Confectionery and Pool Room of
Comrade C. C. Harnes, at Forest
Orjre. Entertainment starts at

ing as have prevailed in the pt
they niut operate at a loss.
It' was learned that this year'
threshing price will be S rents
for oats and 8 rents for wheat in
the t alleys and 6 and 9 rents iu
the hill districts. Small settings
will be threshes! for from lit .84
to $20.

BEHRMANN KUNZE
Wui. J. Behrmann, of Cornelius
was united in marriage to Mis
Zolla Runic, daughter of Mr. ami
Mrs. Henry Kunae, at the home
of the groom's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Behrmann. of Corne
lius, July 28, 1920, Rev. Karpen-
stcin officiating. The bride is
well known in this and Tillamook
counties, and is a very popular
young lady. The groom is the
well known breeder of registered
Jerseys, and has a fine property
in the Cot. Harnes place, bought
a year or so ago, and located near
Forest Grove.
They will spend their honey
moon at Rockaway, and later will
begin housekeeping on the farm
of the groom.
The Argus joins in wishing
them much happiness.
Mr. and Mrs. Hans Peterson
of near Baldwin, Wis., and Mrs.
F.Iisa Cronholm. of Brooklyn. N
V., sister of Wm. Morgensen, tit
Garden Home, were in the city
yesterday, being shown over tin
county by J. Gaarde, of Tigard
and Mr. Morgensen. Miss Cron
holm is a nurse in one of the
large hospitals at Brooklyn, and
hundreds of injured soldiers wen
brought ' to the institution aftei
