Oregon Agricultural College, Jan.
. A scries of schools to be held
turnout the state by the extension
department om the College is at
tracting the attention of farming
communities in the various coun
ties. The schools, which will be held
in each county, will begin on Jan
uary 12 and last for one week.
They w ill be under the supervi
sion of the county agents and the1
e x t e n si on de pa rt m e u t ,
X. C. Jamison, our well known
Washington county agent, is to
cooperate with K. B. litis, of the
dairy department, and W. S. Car
penter. This branch of the exten
sion work conducted at Banks on
January 12 and 18 and at Laurel
on January 15 and I(i is to be on
the order of Farmers' Week just
completed at the College. I.ee
tuers, practical demonstrations,
and round table discussions at
these schools take the college, to
the farmer ami he may derive a
benefit from such schooling that
will be invaluable to him in his
w ork at home.
The subjects of dairying and
f irm crops will be taken up in
Washington county. Of interest
to the women of the communities
w ill be classes in home economics
winch will run in conjunction j
with the dairy and farm crops'
