Hood. fiey made the trip by auto, and reached government camp the same evening, inisis a nines from the summit and the party started the big climb at 2:50 'riday morning. They reached Crater Rock by 10 o'clock, had a lunch and then started on the hist mile of climb, which meant a further elevation of 1280 feet They attained the summit at one o'clock in the afternoon, where they had refreshments.
