Enochs, of llillsbo ro, fell from the deck of the Steamer Oregona, at the foot of Orejron Street. Portland, at 6.30 Monday evening, and was drown ed. He was trucking, and stee ped to one side to allow a fellow aborer to pass. He lost his bal ance and plunged into twenty feet ot water. 'The body was recovered an hour later. His rother-in-law, J. McFarland. saw the fatality. The dead man was born in Nebraska, and death came on his birthnav. He was industrious and sober, and had many friends. His last visit here was a week ago Sundav. when he spent the day with his father. He leaves to mourn his oss, his father and the following sisters: Mrs. Lorena Crate, of 'ortland;May Enochs. Hil sboro: Mrs. Gertrude Robertson and Mrs. Blanche McFarland. of 'ortland.
