He was born at Mendota, 1 1 Sept. 11, 1859, and was married at Red Cloud, Neb., in 1883. Th fami ly came to Oregon in 1891, and settled near Sherwood. He was a successful onion raiser, and at one time was president of the Onion Growers' Ass'n. He is survived by his wife and eleven children. Mr. and Mrs. F. L.
