ent than the one "he used to
have." As a matter of fact, the
insinuation was a lie, pure and
simple, and had no foundation.
The Argus editor never had but
one name and by this name he
has always been known from in
fancy to the present. The arti
cle, by the Herald, was only
such a thing as a mental buzzard
would pen. The desire is to
apologize that the kick was not
a bit more severe, and still, a
mental vulture like the Herald
man is not to be blamed, nor is
he really responsible.
Gov. Withycombe delivered
the address of the day at the
celebration grounds, and it was a
thoughtful, statesmanlike effort.
Gov. Jim is improving wonder
fully, and he caught the noDular
chord from the start.
