He was educated nt Pac'fic University, and practiced law a Jew years at bumpttr. returning to the Willamette Valley in 1908. Sam Stott had a wide acquaint ance in the stat e, and his brother. Judge Kaleiirh Stott, was one of Oregon 8 noted jurists. He is survived by his sister. Mrs. Ihompson. and two neph ews, F. S. Aleyers. of Portland's postmastership, and Plowden Stott.
