Miss Jessie K. Scott was married
to Guy Raven at the home of the
bride's sister, tlrs. Geo. Spill
man, Portland, in the presence
of a few. invited friends and rel
atives. The bride is the daugh
ter of H. W. Scott, of Scotrnins
Valley, and formerly lived i;i
Forest Grove, where she attend
ed school and studied music at
the Conservatory at Pacific University.
The bride and groom first met
at Cherry Grove, where the
groom was visiting with the
Haskells and Carpenters, of the
Haskell-Carpenter Co., who were
all old neighbors in the same
town in Pennsylvania.
They left Portland for their
future home, about 200 miles
north of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
where Mr. Raven has a position
as train dispatcher on the C. IN.
K. where he has been em
ployed for nearly three years.
Archie Raven, the S. P. Agent
at Patton Station, is a brother of
the groom.
The newlywcds will be pleased
to hear from their friends in
Old Oregon, and the writer is
sure there will be many a sigh
and longing for the valleys and
evergreen hills of Washington
county, by the new voyagers, es
pecially for the big red apples
