Mrs. Wm. 0. Hager died at the
family home in Hillsboro. bept.
29. 1915. after an extended ill
ness. Her maiden name .was
Cleora E. Jenks, and she was
horn n Eau Claire, Eau uaire
County, Wis., Jan. 81, 1858, an
only daughter in a family of eight
childcen. one was marneu to
William G. Hager, July 4,1878,
at Vinton, Benton County, Iowa.
The family came toOregon Sept.
a 1889. Her parents were prom-
nent in the pionee history of
Wisconsin, her father, Ultsha w.
Jenks starting the first store in
LaCrosse. Wis. Mt. Sterling.
Wis., is on her mother's old home
The Sterlings came to
Kentucky when her mother,
America Sterling, was -ia years
of age. Mrs. Hager is survived
by her husband, a daughter, Mrs.
W. E. McCourt, of Hillsboro.
and a son, Bert Hager, of Butte,
Montana. Her first child. Myrtle,
died an infant, at Vinton, Iowa.
Mrs. Hager was a loving
mother and a splendid neighoor.
She was a woman of excellent
characteristics and bore ner last
illness with great fortitude,
never complaining, even when
she knew that death was certain.
The funeral will take place to
morrow at 2:S3 o'clock.
