While llillsboro waa quietly hi-
bernating the fame of one of its
products was gathering in mo
mentum and had reached Utah
in a manner that may mean much
to the industry here. The gov
ernor of Utah appointed a com
mission to visit Pacific Coast
Mints and look into the matter
of fruit and vegetable preserving.
They visited California and
Washington and then heard of
llillsboro'a Food Products Co.
and its output. The gentlemen
came here, investigated, and
went home to make their report
When the reports were read it
waa found that the llillsboro
product had won first preferment
by the three people who had
called on all preserving plants on
the coast. As a result several
wealthy Utah people formed a
company they already have a

proposal to the stockholders of
the Food Products Co. They of
fered to take in the llillsboro
plant and patents and issue
tot-k of the holding company.
and when the stockholders held
their meeting they voted to turn
over the Food Products proposi-
tion to the Utah corporation.
The new company proposes to
get bony this season and take
care 01 the early iummer and
late Autumn output
It is to be hoped that the new
people w ill make a eucxess of the

in the venture are men of large
means, and they say there is a
big future for the process used

there is money enough available
in the company'a handa to do
business on the proper scale.
This they have - and llillsboro
will soon be on the map.
