If the tax measur just passed
becomes a law it should be a)
! lowed to remain on the statutes
fur a'l time. Chanpe of tax law
is ever a nuisance. There is al
tocether too much tinkering.
in taw. as it was a few years
av tth the tvbate exception.
' was a good one. The new law
is modeled after it with the re
bate left out. and it is to be
hoped it will prove satisfactory
and permitted to rest without

Gov. Withycomoe has signed
the prohibition bill and it is now
a law. That is to sav. after next
January, it will be a law. The
measure permits shipment of
beer and whiskey into the state,
lut the limit is fixed at two
quarts of whiskey, or 24 quarts
of beer, for any one person, or
family. This is quite enough for
anyone, and the prohibitionists
who favored the bill appear to
have a gcod idea of an avaraire
although this is enough for anyone.
