The Sierks confession of the
Wehrnun murder is this morning
repudiated by the confessor. His
story was so replete with contra
dictions that it was absurdly rid-
icqIous, and was punctured be
fore it was hours old. That
Sirks could not have committed
the crime is apparent on the face
of affairs. F-ndermay not be
Kuilty. but Sierks is not. evident
ly. Gov. West will pass the
matter on up to Withycombe.
nd that Rentleman will have to
deal with the confession pulled
trom Sierks-a confession teem-
lnjr with absurdities and improb
abilities. If Pender is innocent
ne snould be freed-but it will
take concrete facts to establish
his freedom from the crime.
