Hillsboro was able tor the first
time to see itself in motion pic
tures at the Grand Theatre, last
week. Manager Phelps had some
fine pictures of the Hillsboro
schools in all its departments,
and the visitors to the Grand
were more than pleased with the
showing of the work in instruc
tion. The fire drill was also very
good, and Hillsboro's big sorrels
will now be seen all over the
state.
County Judge Reasoner has ad
judged that Mrs. Nancy Clear
water, who has been under guar
dianship in Jackson County since
last Spring, owing to ill health,
is now compos and is capable of
attending to her estate and per
son. Mrs. Clearwater's brother,
John Minter, was the guardian,
and he was only too glad that
Mrs. Clearwater regained her
health sufficient to enable her to
handle her property. Dr. F. A.
Bailey made the medical exami
nation and submitted his findings
that her mind was capable in
every way. Mrs. Clearwater is
the widow of the late Jacob
Clearwater, and has property
here and near liuxton.
