Tueday. Ixftween four and five
hundred people visiting the land
Show, en excumion. Seven coach
load from HillHboro and Orenco.
accompanied by the Orenco Band,
vmited with the metropolis; and
all reiiort it a great success.
The excursion broke all attend
ancc at the show. The projrram
in the city was a good one, and
enjoyed by all The visitor were
welcomed by C C. Chapman, of
the Chamber of Commerce, and
Mayor II. T. Uairley responded.
Dr. Krwin and K. L Moore, also
Mr. Powers, of Orenco. made
short talk. The visitor were
treated to a buffet luncheon in
the Commercial Club parlor.
Portland appreciated the day
and the spirit with which it was
redeemed.
