Cyrus Rice, a son of David Rice.
and a well known Washington
County loy, died in a hospital at
(oldfield. Nevada. Tuesday
morning early, death resulting
from an auto accident in which
two were killed and another
lied. Mr. Rice wa3 in an auto
with Dr. K. A. Wheeler, a prom
inent surgeon. David Falvey and
lerman Kruger. They had been
to Tonopah to a Pythian lodge
meeting, and were returning
home early in the morning. The
Doctor met an auto. and. turn-
ing out. struck a muddy place
close to an embankment, throw
ing the machine down the de
clivity. Dr. Wheeler and Faley
were instantly killed and Rice
and Kruger lived long enough to

Cyrus Rice was raised in Wash
ington County. His mother is
dead, and the son will be buried
in Ames Chapel cemetery, below
Heaverton.
His father. Veteran David Rice,
formerly lived beyond North
