Eugene Dant, of Reedville,
was up yesterday. He says that
the Spring frosts have done no
injury down his way, except per
haps to thin the fruit, here and
there, which is considered a good
thin?. a3 the blooms would have
been too heavy for a good pro
duct. Cherries will be a splen
did crop, after all, and all other
fruit i3 coming along nicely.
The Oregon Electric has re
stored the early morning train,
leaving for Portland now at
6:29, instead of 6:44, as the
schedule has been maintained
for some weeks. The new time
table, as corrected yesterday,
will be found on the huh page
of the paper.
Gordon Brown, who played
third base for Hillsboro in the
srood old days, was out to the
city yesterday, taking orders for
Pacific ; Paper Company, we is
not in the game these days, but
watches the score board, just the
same.
There will be a meeting of the
ministers of the city to consider
the social interests of the young
people of the city. The meeting
will be held May 6, at 2:30 p. m.,
in the Methodist Church parlor.
