JO par Annum. tuned Every Tbra4r -BT- U)!G McKINNEf It is high time that people forgot their politics and join to gether to send good, substantia! business men to the legislature There is no sense in adhering to party over the legislative offices, The Senatorial fight is now out of the hands of the legislature, and what Washington County wants '13 men who can be relied on to enact a business session at Salem. Strictly speaking, it is a matter of import to taxpayers that's the entire desideratum and republicans and democrats should be able to get together without recurrence to political lines, and elect men who can and will, represent the county from purely a business stand point. THE STUDEBAKER In each season's army of automobile buyers there are many persons anxious to secure, at the lowest price within reason, a car which will yield a maximum in service, style, size, appearance and general efficiency. The Studebaker Four or Six Touring Car will fill this demand to the utmost degree. It embodies the results of years of experience in the designing and building of more than 100,000 four-cylinder Studebaker automobiles The Studebaker Four or Six has a long-stroke, small bore motor, a giant in power though a miser in use of gasoline and oil. The car is equipped with a full floating rear axle and a wonderfully efficient electrical system which lights and cranks the car, and furnishes the current for its ignition. A splendid car iu appearance, none beats it. More roller bearings than any other car made. Shipments to the coast from December I, to March 13, were 531 Studebaher Four, 5 Passenger, $1150 Studebaher Six. 7 Passenger, $1675 We can demonstrate at any time, and will be pleased to show you just what this car can do. G. Hare, after much persuasion, allow his friends to present his candidacy, Me snouia be nominated and elected. Now i3 the time that Oregon needs thoughtful and forceful men in the legislature. There are many things that need correcting and one of them is the University millage bill. This measure should be repealed at once, and it is to be hoped that some one will enjoin its operation before January, 1915, when the new law is to take effect Un der the new system of taxation this county will be assessed at thirty millions of dollars, and the seven-tenths of a mill for the two schools will mean that we must pay over twenty thousand dollars annually for the support of the 0. A. C. and U. of 0. It is too much; it is absurd to ex pect it; and it is an outrage upon our taxpayers. Men like Hare can correct this, and many other abuses. There is a limit to tax eating, and the Argus proposes to support men, irrespective of party, who can. and will, go to Salem, and enact a business administration.
