JACOB STAHLE Jacob Stahle, for over 13 years a resident of the Helvetia section died at the family home, Friday, reb. 13, 1914. after an extended illness. He was born in Canton Zurich, Switzerland, Dec. 4, 1843 and came to America when a young man. He came to Oregon in 18S0, and settled in Helvetia in 1890. He was married to Madeline Linder, in Portland, July 5, 1892. The widow and the following children, all at home, survive: Emma, Louise, Henry, Irene, and Llsie. The funeral took place, Mon day afternoon, at Helvetia, and interment was in the local ceme tery there.
