Notice of Final Selllcment
here at 3:150 -an hour that meant
many could not attend from a
distance and iret home until af
ter nightfall. Notwithstanding
this it is estimated, conserva
tively, that over a thousand at
tended. Forest (!rove likewise
had over a thousand visitors.
Hillsltoro school put the man
agement in a Kreat, tivr. round
hole and the youngsters swarm
ed like locusts, overwhelming the
capacity. The students were
gloriously attentive, hut the
crowd meant anxiety for the
train, and no more schools will
te invited -so Hillsboro can
claim a distinction enjoyed by no
other school.
The dairy lectures by Chas.
Myhre, the Junction City Danish
colonist dairyman, were enthusi
astically received, and the ad
dresses on swine raising was
also a feature.
Wm. Schulmcrich departed
with the demonstration train to
lecture with the carvan in South
ern Oregon. Mr. Schulmerich is
a welcome addition to the party,
as he has lectured for several
years, and his talks are practical.
