county, as well as the parents,
may have a better idea of what
the Association is for, and w hat
it hotes to do, one clause of the
constitution is quoted here:
"The object of this society
shall be to assist its members to
attain a higher professional
standard, to assist the county
Superintendent in conducting
both county and local Mistitutes.
to extend the hand ot fellowship
to new teachers, and to strive to
better the general school condi
tion and the welfare of the
teachers of the county."
Believing that these ends can
best be attained through cooper
ation of both parents and teach
ers and feeling sure that all par
euU are interested in securing
tae best rrult in their schools,
the Association extends to all

the school work a cordial; invita
tion to attend these meetings.

the Universe, has in the nature
of events gathered unto himself
another of his loved ones, the ac
complished and ever gentle help
mate of our friend and brother,
Dr. J. 0. Kobb.
Be it resolved, that it is with
most profound regret that our
Brother has been called upon to
endure this great atllietion. and
that we, the members of the
Men's Club of Hillsboro, do con
dole and sympathize with him
most sincerely in the loss of his
companion, realizing that no
words of sympathy can make
amends for the great loss he has
sustained.
Therefore, be it resolved, that
