I Jf-jf a ' r - A , ' f I t Some enthusiastic reporter writes the Argus that Scholls went to Keedville, the other day, and beat the Wheeler nine by a score of 43 to 0. As he didn't send up any affidavit to support the figures the article on the game isn't published. If the figures are correct Wheeler will sit in sackcloth and ashes until the season again opens in 1912. The correspondent intimates that the Scholls team wore a hole two feet deep, scoring at the home plate. District No. 1, at West Union, has a nice lot of maple trees, around the school yard, and near ly every Spring the boys tap the trees in order to get the sap. At the annual meeting yester day it was voted to stop the tap ping, as it injured the trees. An order was also made exclud ing the ball games from the grounds. Mr. and Mrs. J. VV.
