Sheriff Hancock went, to Metz
ger, Tuesday, and sold a lot of
the household effects belonging
to Miss May Yohe, the actress,
at her Summer home. The sale
was on a judgment in favor of
Portland parties, and for supplies
furnished her. Miss Yohe wnt
from here to San Francisco some
months ago, to till an engage
ment. Miss ohe was married
at Seattle the day her household
effects were sold in Washington
County. Thus while she lost one
set of household goods, she gets a
man, who, it is hoped, will be
able to make good tn the pur
chase of another equipment.
Pr. Reagan went out to the
''.ll'muhani SehietTelin ranch a few
davs airo and gave .Schieffelin's
big herd of Jersey cows the tu-
M-rcnlm test. He found every
one of them in a perfectly healthy
condition, and there was not a
singlecase of reaction, nor a sus-
nicious unit in th herd. Mr;
SehietTelin has built- up quite a
reputation as a dairyman.-find he
think that every man. in; tne
business should occasionally have
his herd tested, the cows are
all Jerseys and high graded animals.
