resident of Reedville and Witch
Hazel, and who has been up in
the Alberta since leaving Balls
ton, a lew months ago, was m

was very dry up in that section,
and that crops were not very
good this year. He is now spell
ing a few months in the Eastern
Oregon country, where he has
interests.
W. A. Shaw, w ho has promoted
all the Beaverton-Keedville acre
age, embracing several hundreds
of acres of fine land, which has
been cut up into small tracts and
much ot it sold to homeseekers
was out to the city Tuesday, on
business. Mr. Shaw savs that
many of his purchasers are put-
ting out young orchards, and it
will not be many years until land
down that way will be worth as
nign as a tnousana dollars ier
acre. With tine bearing or
chards, and care for trees, his
prediction can not but come true.
