Jud;e Nunn was much pleased with Oregon, and thought the view of the Northeast plains, from Mr. Imbrie's home, ex tending to the Cedar Mills and Phillips mountains, was one of the prettiest sights he had ever beheld. The judge has never seen a hopyard, and he has par tially promised to come out and spend a couple of days with bis host, who has promised to show him about the plains. J. A. was very much pleased to meet Mr, Nunn, and speaking of his guest, said: "lie is a Southerner; a democrat; and an alfahle gentle man, and I do not know that I have ever met a gentleman whom I have liked so well upon first acquaintance."
