ing the name of Wm. Chalmers
to a check, which he attempted
to pa.s at the Forest Grove Na
tional Hank, and the latter for
stealing money from the purse
of his foster-mother's nurse, at
it' I'urnham home, at Tigard-
ville.
Lansing pleaded guilty a3 the
check was found in his posses-

thermometer did not get so high
as on a former date, the air was
