day morning, lie states that all
the people in his section are
ready for early haying.
Hugh Rogers was down from
Buxton. Friday, returning Mon
day. Hugh says that the Bux
ton Fourth is to be a "hummer."
.C. C. Southard and wife, of
Portland, were guests at the
home of Mrs. Southard's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Rice, Sunday.

has added cucumbers, pease and
cabbage to his wagon. Get them

S. A. D. Meek, of abote Glen
coe, was in town Friday. Hay
ing is now commencing in his
section, here and there.
J. C. Hare was out from Port
land the first of the week, and
says he hopes to have the mill
running in a few days.
John Loftis, of above Glencoe,
is representing Glenaoe Lodge
Number 22 at the Grand Lodge
in Portland, this week.
John ibach, of Banks, and
Victor Crop, of near Glencoe,
were county seat visitors, Mon
day morning.
Thomas Tallman. of Buxton,
and a former resident of Hills-
boro, was down to the city Mon
day afternoon.

of Portland, visited the latter's
parents, C. W. Redmond and
wife, Sunday.
Wade Armentrout and wife, of
Banks, were visitors at the home
of Preston Jackson and wife.

Mrs. E. C. McKinney and son,

extended stay at Collins' Springs,

week, taking in the revival meet
ings. Carpenter Hawkins, a former
resident of East Hillsboro, was
out from Portland the last of the
