the last several weeks cows have
been missing in that section and

John Welch lost a heifer and the
head was found at a slaughter
house, where Zuercher did his
killing. When confronted with
the evidence, Cottleib admitted
the killing, but denied bringing
theanimalto the pen. However,
he refused to toll who did, and
when "the chase became too close,
skipped the country. Ollicers
have sought him in vain but he
is not to ho found at his usual
haunts. His parents., reside in
the vicinirv of Ceihir Mill n.l
are highly respected citizens.
