LILLY HESSE DEAD Lilly Hesse, the youngest daugh ter of Henry Hesse, died at the family home on Third Street hp. tween Oak and Fir, Monday morning,, after an illness cover ing several months. She was born at West Union, Washington County, April 10, 1889, and lived there continuously until the fam ily moved to this city some years ago. The funeral took place Wednesday, at the Christian Church, and interment was in the Masonic cemetery. Of her immediate family the father, Henry Hesse, who is the U. S. mail carrier between the tJOStoffir-e and rho Smith am Paci fic, and the following sisters and oromer, survive: Mrs. Chas. Meacham, North Hillsboro; Mrs. Amelia Victor, Pullman, Wash.; Miss Elizabeth Hesse, Hillsboro; Mrs. John Fuegy, of Phillips; Miss Hertha, who has a position under Post Master Cornelius; and Charles Hesse, in the state of Washington. Although a great sufferer for months Miss Hesse was cheerful to the end, and had abiding faith that she would recover. Only last week, she was walking about and declared she would Hrv'm V. strong.
