JOHN QU1NCY ADAMS Mr. and Mrs. John Quiney Adams, residing near Hillsboro, celebrated their golden weddin.ee April 17th. Mr. and Mrs. Adams were married in Bates County, Missouri, in 18G0, and in 1875 removed to Mt. Pleasant, la., residing there until 1881, when they came to Oregon, arriving at Portland April 17, 1884. After a few weeks' stay there they moved to Hills boro. and have lived in Washington County for the past twen ty six years. They have seven children living, all being present to wish them many more anniversaries. The sons are James B. Adams, Farmington, Chas. E. Adams, Hillsboro; and the daughters are Mrs. L. B. Rice, Rainier. Ore.; Mrs. Mary T. Hoover, Beaverton; Mrs. Edw. Boge. Farmington; Mrs. John Boge, Farmington; and Miss Mattie Adams, Portland. Mr. and Mr. Adams received many appropriate gifts, and the children each presented them with a five dollar gold piece. Among those present were Messers and Mesdames J. (J. Adams, J. B. Adams, John Boge, Edw. Boge, Mrs. L. B. Rice, Mrs. Mary Hoover, Miss Mattie Adams, Miss Emily Hoover. Chas. Adams, J. C. Hoover, Veldon, Evart, and Bevyn Boge, Clarence, Elda, Briee and John Quiney Adams, Jr., Vaden, Ruth and Marion Boge.
