The Independent publisher had
another epaBm last week and
buckled on bis armor for a til r
with the Oregonian, alleging that
no improvement notices were sent
in from Hillsboro. If the Inde
pendent man would have less sou
stomach and more vision perhaps
he .ould have seen that HillBboro
dicpatches in the Oregonian huve
contained notices of the building of
the concrete block, the Pythian
building, and general mention of
the many cottages built this sea
son. Tbe only trouble with our
friend is that he appears to be top
heavy, and pione to criticise every
thing, and there iBn't much doubi
but what his next stunt will be to
criticise the Almighty for "this
sorry scheme of things entire."
