ust 16, 199 and the said vote having
been officially canvassed and certified and
it appearing that said proposed amend
ment received 63 affirmative votes and 5
negative votes and the total number of
votes cast at said election was 79.
Now Therefore, I, J. W. Connell, as
Mayor ot the city of Hillsboro, Oregon,
in obedience to and by virtue of the
power and authority vested In me by
the ordinances of said city, do hereby
make and issue this proclamation to the
people of the city of Hillsboro, Oregon,
and do hereby announce and declare
that said charter amendment received an
affirmative majority of all effective votes
cast at said election and that said amend
ment shall take eflct and be in full force
next from and after the 27th day of Aug
ust, 19 9.
