Scholia, on Saturday of last week.
The rsporla of Judge C. K Kindt,
president, and Frank K. Rowell,
secretary, showed that the heavy
debt of the corporation had been
fully paid during the past year.

to $6 per year; rent phones from

panied the man, finally waived the
readiug for the prisoner, and John

the largest crowd tbat baa ever
witneseed an execution in the peni
tentiary. Many legislator were
present.
As he stepped to the foot of the
ataira Johnson regained bia neive
and walked firmly to the scaffold.
when asked if he had anything to
say he recited lo a clear, unbroken
voice, the reason for bis committing

confession of the brutal murder.
