It raised $10,000, last week, to pay off indebtedness, and the directors elected Hon. W. H. Wehrung, of this county, as manager of the fair, hia duties beginning at occe. Mr. Wehrung was Preeident ot the State Fair for 4 years, and it was largely due to hia management that that institution waa placed on a secure financial footing. Mr. Wehrung is President of the Alaeka-Yukon Fair Commission of this state, and seems to have a natural adaptation for that sort of work. He is a native eon of Wash ington county, and is possessed of much executive ability, which is what counts in the position to which be ha just been elected.
